Rust is one of the worst enemies for trucks and significant rust can impact the integrity of a vehicle. However, oftentimes, rust damage can be repaired, and your truck made to look like new once more. We worked on a rust repair project and were really pleased with how it turned out. The job was rust repair on a first-generation Ford Bronco tailgate. It was a late 60s or early 70s model, so parts are hard to come by. It was in pretty bad shape but once we worked our magic, the improvement was significant! Here are a few pictures of the work in progress:
We were proud of this one; they don’t make replacement panels for that area, so we had to make one ourselves! Considering how classic cars are hard to come by in good condition, this project was a big success!
